Open Access Policy

Al-Malwiya Journal of Sport and Movement Sciences (AMJSMS) is an open access journal, meaning that all published articles are freely available to the public immediately upon publication, without requiring a subscription or registration.

Principles

AMJSMS operates under the principle that providing free, unrestricted access to research accelerates the advancement of scientific knowledge, facilitates global collaboration, and maximizes the impact of published research. The journal is committed to removing barriers to accessing scientific literature in the field of sport and movement sciences.

Access

  • All articles published in AMJSMS are freely available online at the journal website immediately upon publication.
  • Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of articles without prior permission from the publisher or the author, provided that proper attribution is given.
  • No subscription fees, registration fees, or pay-per-view charges are required to access any content published in the journal.

Licensing

All articles published in AMJSMS are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Under this license:

  • Share: Others may copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

Copyright

Upon acceptance for publication, authors agree to transfer copyright of their manuscripts to AMJSMS. AMJSMS becomes the copyright holder of all published content. All published articles display the notice: © [YEAR] Al-Malwiya Journal of Sport and Movement Sciences.

Authors' Rights Despite Copyright Transfer

Although authors transfer copyright to AMJSMS, they retain substantial rights through the CC BY 4.0 license:

  • Use their published article for personal, educational, and research purposes.
  • Share the article with colleagues, students, and the public.
  • Post the published version on personal, departmental, or institutional websites.
  • Deposit the article in institutional or disciplinary repositories.

Self-Archiving

Article Processing Charges

As an open access journal with no subscription revenue, AMJSMS charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover the costs of peer review, editorial processing, manuscript preparation, and online publication. Please refer to the Article Processing Charges page for details.
